In this final section about the past, let’s shift our focus to more recent events. Let’s look at 3 positive events and 5 supportive groups that are changing the dynamics within our ecosystem and ultimately setting us up for victory.

3 Positive Events

1. GRN Swap to Ethereum:

In September of 2020, we announced a swap in which all existing Graphene-based GRN units would be swapped to units of ERC20 GRN on the Ethereum network. This decisive step was taken to protect the value held by our community from parties who were intent to destroy all that our ecosystem had created. Though this swap, our community could break free from a custodial system that had been abusing our community members by illicitly trading our digital assets (without our consent and for the benefit of the custodial system’s owners, rather than the account holders) and by stealing assets that had been entrusted to its care. By swapping our assets to the Ethereum network, the security of our assets was significantly enhanced and a range of possibilities to participate in new applications (e.g., DeFi) and new exchanges was opened. Most importantly, once the swap was completed, the destiny of GRN was back in the collective hands of our community.

2. GRN Referendum

Due to a dramatic increase in the fees for transferring tokens on the Ethereum network that occurred in the months following the announcement of the swap, a decision needed to be made. A referendum was circulated throughout the community, and interested members cast their votes for one of the two proposed outcomes. This was the first time that the community ever voted together on this kind of a proposal. It was the start of the community governance model that is now set to expand in the coming months. Once the voting period had ended, the result was that the majority of the community voted to stake their GRN in the ecosystem’s new vault system and preserve the PowerDAO treasury, rather than sell off a significant portion of the treasury in order to cover the additional cost of transferring GRN tokens to the community’s individual decentralized wallets. As it turned out, the community’s decision rebooted momentum within the ecosystem. With the community’s decision, the majority of GRN token holders are now united in the ecosystem’s new vault system, which has paved the way for several subsequent new developments.

3. Launch of MVault

MVault is a community-owned and operated vault system. It has been designed to be easy to set up and simple to use. Members can securely and easily stake their digital assets and monitor the accumulation of rewards. It is also where community members will be voting on various governance proposals using a proprietary off-chain voting system. MVault is set to play a pivotal role in bringing growth back to our ecosystem, and it will serve as one of the primary tools of the ecosystem for many years to come. Over time, the MVault system will be offering a smooth transition from a more centralized wallet experience to a completely decentralized experience, in which all control is in the hands of each individual user.

5 Supportive Groups

Here are five groups that are primed to play significant roles in supporting the growth of our ecosystem in the coming years:

Decentralized Forces This first one is not really a group but a collection of forces. The entire world is witnessing the early stages of a revolution of decentralization. Unlike with the centralized forces (i.e., Centralized Establishment) we spoke about previously, decentralized forces are naturally aligned with our community’s values. The future of our ecosystem will be supporting the evolution of decentralization within the world, and every decentralized element that gains traction in the world during these upcoming years will be reinforcing and supportive of what we are doing. 2. PowerDAO The PowerDAO is a decentralized autonomous organization focused on the operation of our ecosystem and is being established as a Swiss association. The PowerDAO will be the primary governance body of our ecosystem. It successfully adds a community-based decision-making mechanism to the ecosystem’s existing decentralized alliance of companies. This is a vitally important piece that has been sorely missing during the past five years, as it enables the community to collectively make key strategic decisions. 3. GRN Association A second Swiss association is being formed that is comprised of the majority of the GRN holders. One of the most significant aspects of this association is that it provides a way for the community to be legally represented in a range of asset recovery cases in jurisdictions throughout the world. The consolidation of GRN holders within the MVault system and the formation of this Swiss association of GRN token holders can finally resolve some of the legal predicaments that have plagued our ecosystem over the past three years. 4. GRN Token Holders The group that has played the most significant role in our ecosystem is without doubt the GRN token holders. The innumerable decisions made by GRN token holders over the past years (since trading began) has shaped this community and enables us to now move into a new phase of growth. The fact remains that those who are in possession of GRN are in position to benefit from the tremendous value that we intend to create within this community. 5. GreenCommunity Our community is very special. And now it will have significantly more influence in the ecosystem through the voting mechanisms of the PowerDAO and the GRN Association. Our community will now have control over many of the most important decisions within the ecosystem. We have an incredibly talented and diverse community that spans the world, and now our ecosystem will be structured in a way that can harness more of the power and wisdom of our many community members.

What Can We Learn?

I understand that looking back at our past like we have has taken considerable time. It’s not always an easy thing to do, but I believe it can be a very heathy process.

Were mistakes made along the way? Yes. Did negative things happen? Yes. Did everything go as planned? Absolutely not.

Were assets stolen from us? Yes. Was our ecosystem attacked? Yes. Were there efforts to destroy us? Absolutely.

Yet, here we are. Five years later. Still together. Still strong. Still moving forward. And still holding GRN, which is the key to securing our victory. With GRN, we all have a way to win.

It would have been easy for any of us to quit, give up or just leave. But none of us did.

Despite some very negative consequences, there have been innumerable good choices made within this ecosystem. And it’s those choices that have set a foundation for success. All those good choices have set us up for an eventual victory.

Despite all that has happened, I emphatically do not believe that anyone within our community is a victim. No one among us has been forced to take part in this community.

Each of us has made our own series of choices to get here.

And with every choice comes with repercussions.

While we hope the outcomes of our choices will always be positive, we all know that there are risks that may cause some of them to be negative.

Sometimes the most negative outcomes are what deliver the most valuable lessons. A very empowering response from each of us is to find the lessons from all that’s happened. These will be different for each of us. When we each take responsibility for our respective roles, we place ourselves into position to receive our lessons. These lessons are the blessings of adversity and carry the power to change our minds, our hearts and our lives.

Natural Law and Natural Justice

The repercussions of our choices serve as a guidance system for each of us. The more aligned our choices are with Natural Law, the more harmonious the repercussions of our choices tend to be – and the smoother our path. As mentioned previously, in its simplest form, alignment with Natural Law comes down to this: do all you have agreed to do, and do not encroach on other persons or their property.

The corollary of Natural Law is Natural Justice. Some of you may know it as “karma”. Think of it as the justice system of the universe – a natural system for delivering universal justice. It works effortlessly and automatically. There are no glitches or bugs within this system, and no ways to disrupt or attack it – the code is flawless and unassailable. It’s a perfect mechanism for universal justice, established eons ago by the Creator.

There have been certain incidents where this community and its property have been encroached on. With the formation of the GRN Association, manifestations of justice will occur through the association’s actions in select court systems around the world. In addition, manifestations of Natural Justice will continue to happen in other ways.

Those who have encroached on our community and its property may fear the repercussions of their criminal actions. However, some among them believe they can avoid all accountability for their actions.

They think they can escape the reach of Natural Justice.

They cannot.

No one can.

All attempts to evade the repercussions of their actions are futile.

But there is no benefit for us, as a community, to focus on the delivery of justice to the enemies of this ecosystem. This is already underway and will take care of itself.

So how do we deal with the emotions of negative consequences?

It’s certainly understandable that many of us might feel animosity towards those who have caused us harm or opposed us. But there is no need to give in to reflexive low-frequency emotions like anger, hate or resentment. Better to keep any form of malice far from our hearts, as it can weaken and embitter us. Instead, there’s an empowering response that is capable of truly healing the entire situation.

Let’s respond with love

Love truly is a powerful force that exists in each of us. If you ever want to convince yourself that love is a power that comes from within, love your enemies. Only in the presence of your enemies can you really discover that truth. Only when you love beyond all the external conditions which logically tell you not to do so, can you discover the deeper wellspring of love that you are. In this way, those who seek to harm you end up giving you a truly precious gift.

While these past five years have been challenging and we have all suffered, it is through challenge and the survival of suffering that we grow beyond our protective bubbles to experience greater dimensions of life. Whenever we stand firm in the midst of hardship, holding and expressing the love that we are, illusions fall away. Through love and forgiveness, we are empowered to transcend our suffering.

By transcending our suffering, one of the greatest secrets of the universe is revealed to us: with love, we have the power over any situation.

Why does this golden secret remain so well hidden?

Because we never truly know it until we have surmounted adversity.

In learning this, we are free forever from the illusions that would attempt to conquer us and misdirect our lives.

Only through the power of love can victory be attained.
