The UAE, and Dubai in particular, is becoming an increasingly important global trade, financial and economic center. This is breaking more and more records, driven by innovation and a willingness to be the global leader in numerous categories.
With the economic opportunities this creates for both companies and individuals, the influx of people from all over the world to live and build their personal futures is unabated. Tourism is also booming and practically every year becomes a new record year. This has led to a building boom, unimaginable by “western” standards, to provide housing for both the rapidly growing tourism sector and the rapidly growing population. Although construction is going on practically day and night, the supply can hardly meet the ever-increasing demand.
Due to this, real estate prices in Dubai have risen by an incredible 19.6% and rents by 21.6% just in the past year!
The hotel sector is outperforming all pre-pandemic metrics for average hotel occupancy, average daily rate, RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room), and average length of stay.
Dubai’s average hotel occupancy of 78% in H1 2023 is among the highest in the world.
